Three episodes of the syndicated television series “Relic Hunter” featured scenes filmed at Pierrefonds. Information on the first and third and screen captures will be posted eventually.

The opening flashback sequence from the Season 2 episode The Royal Ring was filmed at Pierrefonds. These scenes featured the backstory on the ring of Anne Boleyn, the relic the main characters would search for throughout the episode. The featured guest star of the episode was Crispin Bonham-Carter as Nigel’s brother Preston. Crispin is a distant cousin of Helena Bonham Carter.

“Relic Hunter” lasted for three seasons and was a syndicated action/adventure series starring Tia Carrere as Sydney Fox, an ancient studies professor who often leaves the classroom to search for historical and even mythical relics. Joining her on these adventures is her teaching assistant and loyal sidekick, Nigel Bailey (Christien Anholt). The first two seasons filmed part the year in Toronto and the other half in France. The third season filmed partially in Toronto then moved to Spain for the later episodes.
