A batch image downloader you might want to consider using is Bulk Image Downloader by Antibody Software. The free version lets you download 100 photos at a time, which is the maximum number of photos in most galleries on www.farfarawaysite.com, while for others on the site that have more than 100 photos in them, it will take a few sessions but will still be easier than the program we had suggested before.

For those galleries that have been moved to ImageBam, referring to the “The Adventures of Merlin” promotional photo galleries, copy each page of a gallery to download the photos.

For example, to download the General Season 2 Merlin gallery, copy the below two links into the program. Copy the first one first, then after the program finishes downloading those images, copy the second one into the program. And if there is a third, fourth and so on number of pages, continue the process until each page is downloaded.

To download galleries located on www.farfarawaysite.com, copy the gallery page, not the directory, into the program. For example, to download this gallery from Section of Randomness, copy the below link into the program.

This program lets you pick and choose which photos you want to download. So, if you only want to download some from a page, you can.

We recommend that you always click on the generate filenames option, rather than download the photos under their original names. This will ensure, especially when downloading from galleries on ImageBam, that you download everything from a gallery, notably photos that may have the same name. In order for this to work completely, you will also have to, under options set 'if file already exists in download folder' to 'rename'.
